Working With Genie Blocks on The Site

For Large Projects!

When larger quantities of blocks are required for larger, more fast paced projects, a flatbed truck with a picker is your easiest way to load and transport Genie Blocks. Once on site, an excavator or small self-powered crane can off-load and place blocks as needed by the assembly crew. [see illustration below]

Working On Site

Most block placement and movement on the job site are accomplished with
two special patented tools developed by Genie Block.

The first of these is the patented Genie Block 'Genie Reach' crane unit which is a light-weigh, tow-behind system powered by a 9HP hydraulic power pack. The crane is used to unload arriving supplies, move materials and place blocks at a distance even in relatively confined areas.

The patented ' Yard Brat ' is another Genie Block innovation for on-site work with our products. The Yard Brat is narrow enough (with dual wheels removed) to drive through a doorway and will even climb stairs! In addition to moving blocks and supplies; in a two-minute operation the Yard Brat can have its loader bucket installed and be doing light earth moving or fresh concrete transport!

Small Movements On Site!

Occasionally you will need to move a single Genie Block a short distance. For these requirements, Genie Block has developed two hand tools.

The Fulcrum Moving Device (shown below) straddles a Genie Block, hooks it on a centre point and then lifts & rolls with very little effort.

Other Functions

At various times concrete must be back-filled in critical areas to maximize structural strength. For this purpose, Genie Block has developed yet another patented device ...a Portable Concrete Batch Plant. This unit can be loaded into the back of a 3/4 ton pickup truck or on a trailer to get it to the site. The Batch Plant and Hopper are powered by a shared 9HP hydraulic power pack.
