| The second 3-foot
segment will be used on the opposite end of the wall thereby
reducing unnecessary waste materials. Needless to say, cutting certain blocks will be required to make openings for doors and windows. Referring back to the diagram of the building on Page 10, above these openings you will create a header panel by filling all vertical voids with concrete as illustrated in addition to tying in the affected logs with additional ready rod and channel steel. Cutting is accomplished using a specialized concrete cutting blade similar to those shown below. These saws are available in both cut-off and chain models. |
